Prepare your animal

For cats

  • Leave the carrier open at home so your cat can become familiar with it.

  • Add a soft blanket carrying their scent.

  • Avoid feeding them just before travelling.

  • Keep the carrier on the floor, stable and covered.

For dogs

  • A short walk before the visit can help them burn off some energy.

  • Bring their favourite toys or comfort items.

  • Keep them on a lead in the waiting room.

For exotic pets

  • Use a suitable, well-ventilated carrier lined with a towel or clean hay.

  • Avoid sudden movements and loud noises.

  • Avoid draughts and extreme temperatures.

  • Bring hay.

Veterinary care that considers emotional well-being

Beyond a Cat Friendly approach, we follow a philosophy inspired by Fear Free® principles, adapted to all our patients: cats, dogs and exotic pets.

Every visit is designed to minimise stress, respect each animal’s individual needs and create a positive experience, both for them and their family.

Caring for their health also means caring for their emotional well-being.
